Anders wasn’t even romanceable in Awakening, so that argument is weak, at best. I’d argue that canon Anders is gay, because of Karl, but that’s irrelevant. As for Morrigan and Alistair, unless you can find a way to romance them when you’re their sex, I can’t see how you could be right.
And you’re falsely arguing that me saying something is “unrealistic” means that it’s bad or horrible. Me flying by thought is unrealistic, but it’d be fucking awesome. People arguing that every character should be bi come across as selfish in that they expect every character to be attracted to them—it argues that they should get whatever they want, which is what I’m arguing against.
If there were four bi characters, four straight characters, and four lesbian characters, that’d be more realistic. Mass Effect 3 seemed to have an almost decent mix.

Anders’ first was Karl. That means he likes men. However, he will also pursue a relationship with an f!Hawke, which means he likes women. He will flirt with your f!Warden in Awakenings. Namaya mentions that he’s very good at sweet-talking- read that as you will. He also mentions a prior sexual encounter with Isabela and that infamous electricity trick (“that was niiiice.”.) He flirts with f!Hawke if she doesn’t do the horrible flirt line in Act 1 and picks the diplo option, and even says “A year ago we could have had something.” Also there’s the whole “everyone was kissing everyone.” He himself says that it’s not about the equipment that a person has, but rather who they are, which makes him pansexual.
If his romance with Karl is canon in DA2 despite only being brought up in an m!Hawke!mance, then everything he brings up specifically and only with an f!Hawke is by the same token, also canon. If DA2 is canon, then he is pan.
Every time someone says “he’s gay/he’s straight” they’re ignoring the words out of his own damn mouth along with his actions, and that makes those of us who identify as bi/pan feel like shit, because apparently our orientation isn’t believable? Isn’t real? Isn’t worth validating and celebrating?

I can name 4 friends of mine that aren’t straight. Counting me, that’s 5 non-straight people in one group. And people who aren’t straight tend to surround themselves with other people who aren’t straight because they can relate to each other easier. There’s nothing unrealistic about all the LI’s being romanceable by both the male and female protagonist. And I don’t see how it’s selfish to want that either.
Anyways, you have no business arguing about a lack of realism in a game with magic and dragons and whatnot. Come on now.

Starfire was not shamed for being emotional. Her powers come from her emotions.
Raven was not shamed for suppressing her emotions. Her power requires amazing control.
They both. Work. They are both different kinds of strength, and they are both heroic and powerful and good. And they each learned from the other, and helped each other out by seeing from each others’ perspective, and finding the value in their differing approaches! Wow!
Fuck yes, this is how you write super-ladies, okay. There’s more than one way to be a “strong female character.” There’s all different kinds of strength. Why don’t more people GET this?
